How do I install my Afrosim eSim if I can not scan the QR code? - iOS

Try adding the eSIM manually while connected to a good network connection. Go to Settings on your device.

 

  1. Go to Cellular/Mobile
  2. Add Cellular/Mobile Plan
  3. Select Enter Details Manually. You will be asked to enter SM-DP+ Address
  4. (Copy and paste from the order confirmation number page — The number that is in this format; LPA:1$SMDP+ADDRESS$ACTIVATIONCODE)
  5. Turn on your eSIM under Cellular/Mobile Plan
  6. 7. Select your eSIM for Cellular/Mobile data
  7. 8. Enable Data Roaming (Please turn off your primary line to avoid roaming charges from your carrier provider when overseas)
  8. 9. Set up an APN(access point name) on your device if required. If the APN settings are required for your eSIM, you can find the APN details in the eSIM installation details

    3. Tap the Add icon next to Mobile Network
    4. Tap Next when asked, “Don’t have a SIM card?”
    5. Tap Enter Code Manually. You will be asked to enter the QR code information (SM-DP+Adress) in the following format:

• LPA:1$SMDP+ADDRESS$ACTIVATIONCODE

  1. Turn on your eSIM under Mobile Network
  2. Enable Mobile data
  3. Enable Data Roaming (Please turn off your primary line to avoid roaming charges from your carrier provider when overseas)

  1. Go to your device Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network
  2. Tap Don’t have the SIM card? > Download your SIM > Tap Next
  3. Scan the QR code provided by Afrosim eSim
  4. Tap Activate
  5. Tap Afrosim eSim
  6. Add the APN Name: Tap on Advanced > Tap Access Point Names > Add APN name by clicking the three dots symbol ⋮ > Type tn1 (lower case, no spaces)

  1. Scan the QR code provided to you on the checkout page or email confirmation
  2. Tap Add Cellular Plan
  3. Choose Secondary Label and change the name to Afrosim eSim
  4. Select the option for ‘Use Afrosim eSim for cellular data only’ and tap Continue
  5. Select the option for ‘Use Primary as the preferred line’ and tap Done
  6. Add the APN Name*: Tap on Afrosim eSim > Cellular Data Network> Cellular Data > Add APN > Type tn1 (lower case, no spaces

  • Go to Settings> General> About.

  • Go to Settings
  • In Settings if you see a search bar, type in “IMEI”, and the option “IMEI information” should show up (otherwise, you will need to go to About phone> Status).
  • Tap “IMEI information”
  • If the “IMEI (eSIM)” is available it should mean that your device supports eSIM.

How do I add more data to my Afrosim eSim?
  • To add more data you will need to purchase a new eSIM from afrosim.com.
  • Once the eSIM has run out of data it wil no longer work
  • you will either need to switch back to your home career or purchase an additional eSIM from afrosim.com

Why is my Afrosim eSim not working?
  • Make sure you eSIM is installed correctly
  • Check that your APN settings are correct
  • Check that your data roaming is on
  • Check that your eSIM is selected as your data plan (not your home carrier)
  • If your Afrosim eSim has run out of time/data you will need to download a new one.

Send an email to [email protected] requesting the deletion of your account and associated data.

 

  • Email should be sent from the same email that the account as setup with.
  • The subject of the email should be ‘Request for Account Deletion’.
  • Profile and associated data will be deleted within 30 days of the profile being deleted.
  • A confirmation email will be sent once the account and associated data has been deleted.
